Handpainted Vintage Cake Cover and Plate
What a stunning piece this is for your vintage kitchen! It is one of those repurposed items I spoke of on my Home Page. Originally it was a silver-toned cake cover until a talented artisan used her creativity and turned it into this darling vision. The inside is covered in dotted-suisse-like effects as is the outside. (Lovely dotted suisse painting.) The cut glass cake plate is also included in the offering. Here is a view from the top: Hard to believe it's handpainted, but it is! So pretty. It is also protected with a clear coating, but I would recommend cleaning with a soft, damp cloth. Wouldn't this be a beautiful, thoughtful gift? The holidays are fast approproaching for all.
